I'm Blogging!

After many months of thinking about it, I'm finally doing it:

blogging.

I've even procured a new office assistant to help me out. Natasha Toshiba and I have been slow to warm up to one another...with her Microsoft Office 2010 in place, as well as more apps than you can shake a stick at, she's quite a complicated creature. Not only is she quiet, sleek and slim, she always wears black...but during our introduction, she revealed to me that she makes a habit of  wearing pink undergarments. It's good to know she has a little personality beneath that slick, all-business exterior. Once we get used to one another, we'll probably be the best of friends. I'm not going to tell her quite yet that this new job includes late nights, travel, visits with rambunctious grandchildren and enduring occassional meetings with my faithful former secretary, Dorice Dell who, with her comfortable Windows XP and Microsoft 2003 set-up has served me well for 8 years. Just because she's getting on in years and is slightly boggy, I can't just throw her over completely. You never know when she might come in handy. I really don't want to give up her keyboard either, so Natasha may have to put up with using it. We shall see. At any rate, I'm breaking Ms. T. in slowly. I know she has a lot to teach me and she knows I have a lot to learn. After a few weeks or so, once we're in the swing of things, she'll figure out that I plan on working her to death. I think she'll rise to the occasion and be just fine.  

 

For my next feat of the day, I shall stretch out on my comfortable sofa to read a book by one of my favorite authors, Elizabeth Berg, and contemplate my options for the rest of the weekend.
